Shadow of Colossus
"Higley doesn’t disappoint readers
with another view into the ancient wonders of the world in this series. Though
her main characters live in violent times, readers will see their redeeming
qualities and want th to emerge victorious. Mixed in with historical facts about
paganism and beliefs about a monotheistic religion, a true faith emerges among a
seeking people. Readers will wait anxiously for the next installment."

“T. L. Higley transported me
to the magnificent island of Rhodes, a cultural mecca of
the ancient world, basking in the shadow of the enormous
Colossus of Helios, in this tantalising novel of
political intrigue and spiritual redemption. I was drawn
to Tessa’s pain, a woman with great political influence
yet without freedom, sold to the highest bidder. Nikos
knows Tessa’s status but is drawn to her and sees her as
God does, as a woman of great worth. The Jewish plight
is told through the eyes of Simeon and his family and
God’s faithfulness is shown through Simeon’s devotion
and Nikos’ sacrifice. Fast paced adventure, fascinating
characters and insights in to the culture, politics and
people of this ancient world make Shadow of Colossus
a unique and unmissable read. I am delighted that the
Ancient World will continue to be revealed in subsequent
Seven Wonders novels by T. L. Higley.” ~RelzReviews,

"With a marvelous cast of interesting and intriguing
characters T.L. Higley's SHADOW OF COLOSSUS is a thrill-filled saga that will
keep the reader's mind abuzz with wonder at the masterful weaving of her
intricate plots. Those with acute sleuthing abilities will find themselves
stumped time and time again as they careen towards the climactic plot
resolution. Although Historical Fiction, SHADOW OF COLOSSUS is written with a
modern day twist that doesn't bog the reader down with irrelevant details, but
takes them back in time and allows them to view a world they may have never
known. SHADOW OF COLOSSUS is skillfully written, and masterfully executed." ~

"Starting ten days before the
“quake” that leveled the five decade plus old statue, this is an engaging
inspirational ancient historical thriller. The story line is fast-paced with a
fascinating “Christian” message two plus centuries before the Christ as told by
Jews and compared with local Hellenistic paganism adding depth to the overall
visit to this Greek island... a terrific look at Greece over two millennia ago."

"Higley’s talent as a
storyteller is obvious as she weaves the threads of Tessa’s salvation into a
story that both inspires and entertains." ~ Curled Up With a Good Book
"Shadow
of Colossus is one of the most
beautifully written books I've ever encountered. The prose is amazing, the
story is riverting, and the characters are complex. Set in Rhodes, 227 BC
just before the great earthquake, the story details the splendor,
debauchery, and society of the Greeks. About the time I was feeling a bit
irritated with one aspect of the plot, Tracy throws in a last-minute twist
that I didn't see coming. I absolutely love the ending and love how she
capitalizes on the Seven Wonders of the World in crafting her stories. Tessa
of Delos is a captivating heroine, and Nikos...ah, Nikos. *grins* I was
absolutely and completely satisfied with every aspect of this story, which
is rare for me. I am now a HUGE TL Higley fan." ~
