T. L. Higley's
third installment in her Seven Wonders series, Guardian of the Flame has
left me in the same state as Shadow of Colossus and City of the Dead ~
bleary eyed from reading way into the night and deeply satisfied from a
fascinating journey to another place and time. Combining exceptional
writing, accurate and interesting historical detail with unique characters,
intriguing romance and dangerous adventure, Tracy Higley is truly a gifted
storyteller you must not miss. Be assured there are no run of the mill
characters in Tracy's books or poor plotting. Sophia, Bellus and even
Cleopatra's uncommon personalities hold great appeal and the antiquity of
the story is both eye opening and riveting. Guardian of the Flame is a
tribute to Tracy's abilities as an historian and author, and to the amazing
Wonders of the Ancient World.

A thrilling blend of
fiction and fact, Guardian of the Flame kept me spellbound from
beginning to end. T. L. Higley delivers an intriguing picture of Cleopatra
through the eyes of Sophia, a woman haunted by past loss who lives in the
famed Lighthouse of Alexandria. I was transported to ancient Egypt in these
pages, and couldn’t tear myself away until the final act was played out.
Don’t miss this one!

Strong
characters, rich description, and attention to historical accuracy are T. L.
Higley’s hallmarks. Her Seven Wonders novels keep getting better.

Filled with beautiful images
of Alexandria and realistic portrayals of historical figures, Guardian of
the Flame is not to be missed. Not every author can successfully combine
history, truth, and characters so heartfelt they become every bit as real as
the air in the room. But this one did. I’m a new fan of this series and this
amazing author.
